The Brooklyn Fencing Center opened in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, in January 2003. We are proud to be Brooklyn's first competitive fencing club, and our mission is to make the excitement and joy of fencing more accessible to Brooklynites of all ages. Our club features showers, locker rooms and over 5,000 square feet of fencing facilities. We offer armory services and fencing birthday parties.

We have appeared on the WB11 10 o'clock news, Fox 5's Good Morning New York and in the pages of Time Out New York, not to mention features in many local Brooklyn papers. In honor of the first competition in our permanent space, Borough President Marty Markowitz proclaimed September 26th Brooklyn Fencing Day in Brooklyn!

The founder and head coach of Brooklyn Fencing is Rolando Balboa. Rolando also teaches fencing and coaches the team at St. Ann's School in Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Fencing Center is a member of the Metropolitan Division of the US Fencing Association.
